What excites you about being on the Homeward team?
I am excited to be part of Homeward because I believe strongly in its mission: to provide value-based care for people in rural communities. Value-based care goes beyond simply treating illness and disease; it is focused on keeping each person as healthy as possible, with an aim to prevent disease and complications and improve outcomes of current disease states. Value-based care is truly caring about the quality of life of each person. I am excited to connect with people in Michigan's wonderful rural communities. I believe in the power of addressing lifestyle as first-line prevention and treatment for chronic disease, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, connection, stress management, and avoiding harmful substances.
What is your favorite Michigan activity?
Hiking down a wooded trail that ends at Lake Michigan and breathing in all the beauty. Michigan's lakes, forests, fields and trails are balm for the soul.
What else should we know about you?
