Chief Medical Officer
Greg Burrell, MD, is Homeward’s Chief Medical Officer, responsible for Homeward’s clinical and care navigation strategy across markets.
Prior to Homeward, Dr. Burrell served as chief medical officer at Gravie, a health benefits company, responsible for leading the company’s clinical strategy and operations. Previously, Dr. Burrell served as vice president of clinical solutions and associate chief medical officer at Accolade, a company providing care delivery, navigation and advocacy services, serving more than 10 million members. Dr. Burrell also co-founded Carbon Health, a multi-state primary, virtual and urgent care provider, where he served as vice president of clinical strategy and product and head of primary care.
Dr. Burrell completed his medical training at the University Chicago and his residency at the University of California San Francisco, where served for nearly 10 years as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. He continues to practice as a board-certified internal medicine physician.
Dr. Burrell resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing and exploring with his family.
